PROGRAMA SAN FRANCISCO DE ASIS
...A CONTINUING VOLUNTEER PROGRAM AND COMMITTMENT TO THE POOR OF PERU

Programma San Francisco de Asis is a completely volunteer program that has helped more than 6000 poor children of Peru over the last 35 years. This organization was created by Dr. Frank Pilney, a St. Paul, Minnesota plastic surgeon, after a chance meeting with a missionary priest who was working in Peru. Since the early 1980s yearly trips in late January to Lima, Peru and more recently Arequipa, Peru have afforded needy children, without means for care, treatment for cleft lip, cleft palate, and cleft dental care.
